About Course

A continuing education program to make recurring spreadsheet work consistent and auditable, using formulas, structured data and Power Query. AI is an optional support tool, not a prerequisite.

Who it is for

Administrative, finance, sales and HR professionals. Requirement: basic spreadsheet navigation.

What you will achieve

  • Build a repeatable monthly consolidation instead of redoing the report by hand.
  • Catch duplicates, missing records and reconciliation errors before results reach management.
  • Demonstrate practical spreadsheet improvements in your current job and in hiring processes.

Courses in the program

The program combines 4 eight-hour courses in sequence, for a total of 32 hours.

EXC101 · 8 h

Reliable Spreadsheet Fundamentals

Structure tables, validate inputs and apply formulas to repeatable business calculations.

EXC102 · 8 h

Power Query and Consolidation

Import and standardize multiple files, combine data and build a refreshable transformation pipeline.

EXC103 · 8 h

Report Controls and Analysis

Reconcile balances, flag exceptions and summarize results with PivotTables and validation checks.

EXC104 · 8 h

Month-End Close Project

Deliver a reusable workbook, test it with a new month of data and document assumptions and exceptions.

Planned breakdown: 10 h of guided instruction + 14 h of structured practice + 8 h of assessed activities. These components are already included in the total hours.

How you are assessed

  • Complete the sequence of courses and the core exercises
  • Submit the program’s final project
  • Score at least 70% on assessments and on the project rubric
  • One project feedback and revision cycle is included

Professional relevance

A cross-functional skill for many roles; spreadsheet proficiency is a skill, not an occupation with its own projections. We do not promise a job, salary or hiring date.

External costs

Requires Microsoft Excel with Power Query (Microsoft 365 or Excel 2016 or later, on Windows). The Excel license is not included.
