About Course

A hands-on continuing education program for professionals and small business teams who want to protect their accounts, devices and data — and respond calmly when something goes wrong.

Who it is for

Office and admin staff, small business owners, team leaders and anyone responsible for everyday IT decisions in a small organization. Requirement: basic computer skills. No technical background needed.

What you will achieve

  • Recognize and stop the most common attacks: phishing, social engineering, weak passwords and unsafe devices.
  • Protect business and personal data with backups, access control and privacy-aware handling.
  • Respond to an incident with a clear plan, and keep the business running.

What you leave with

  • A useful skill: apply practical, defensive security habits and controls in a small organization.
  • Evidence of that skill: a final project with a real security plan for a small business — risk register, policies and an implementation roadmap — ready to show an employer or client.
  • A clear next step: secure your cloud services in the Cloud Computing for Business program.

Graduates who score 80% or higher may be invited to supervised applied projects and the practical residency.
