About Course

Scope, build and test a minimum viable product using no-code tools and build-measure-learn cycles, so you learn from real users in weeks instead of months.

Build · 6 hours · 4 lessons, a lab, an assessed assignment and a portfolio piece

Who it is for

Founders and product builders with a validated problem who want to put a working first version in front of users quickly and cheaply.

Prerequisites

ENT102 is required and ENT103 is recommended; no programming experience is needed.

What you will be able to do

  • Identify the riskiest assumption and choose the MVP type that tests it
  • Scope an MVP with a user story map and MoSCoW prioritization
  • Build a working no-code MVP connected to a spreadsheet data source
  • Define activation and retention metrics and run one build-measure-learn cycle with real users

Lessons

  • Lesson 1 · What an MVP is and how to scope it
  • Lesson 2 · Building fast with no-code and low-code tools
  • Lesson 3 · Build, measure, learn
  • Lesson 4 · Lab and assignment

Lab: No-code MVP with a spreadsheet back end

You build a functional MVP in Glide or Softr using Google Sheets as the data source, covering only the must-have user stories. You add simple event logging to the sheet, then connect it to a Looker Studio report that shows activation and weekly usage.

Free tools: Glide or Softr free plan, Google Sheets and Looker Studio (free)

Assessed assignment

Build your MVP and test it with at least three real target users over one week. Submit a link or screenshots of the MVP, your user story map with MoSCoW labels, and an experiment log stating the hypothesis, the metric, the target and the actual result. Add a one-page learning memo describing what users did, what surprised you and whether you will persevere, pivot or stop. Do not collect sensitive personal data in the MVP.

Criterion Weight What excellent work looks like
Scope discipline 25% The MVP covers only must-have stories tied to the riskiest assumption; nice-to-haves are explicitly deferred.
Working build 25% The MVP works end to end for the core job, with realistic data and no blocking errors.
Measurement 25% Activation and retention are clearly defined, tracked and reported against targets set before the test.
Learning memo 25% Observations are concrete, surprises are explored and the persevere, pivot or stop decision is justified by the data.

Portfolio piece

A working no-code MVP, its story map and an experiment log with a learning memo.

Self-paced, 12-month access. Questions are answered in writing through the student panel. A completion record is issued when you finish the course.
