Advance · 8 hours · 4 lessons, a lab, an assessed assignment and a portfolio piece

Who it is for

Makers, operations leads and owners responsible for a growing set of no-code apps and automations in a small or mid-sized business.

Prerequisites

NCL103 and NCL104, or equivalent experience running no-code apps and automations in a business.

What you will be able to do

  • Build an inventory of no-code assets with owners, data classification and criticality.
  • Apply least-privilege access, credential management and vendor risk checks.
  • Design backup, monitoring and incident response procedures for no-code solutions.
  • Assess platform limits and costs and write a scaling or migration plan.

Lessons

  • Lesson 1 · Governance: inventory, ownership and change
  • Lesson 2 · Security, privacy and vendor risk
  • Lesson 3 · Resilience and scaling
  • Lesson 4 · Lab and assignment

Lab: Governance audit of a no-code stack

You will audit the no-code stack of a sample accounting and bookkeeping office: forms, an Airtable base, a Glide app and several automations. You will build an asset inventory and a risk register, review access and sharing settings, test a backup and restore, and write a scaling plan based on current usage and platform limits.

Assessed assignment

Audit a real or realistic set of at least four no-code assets used by a business. Deliver an asset inventory, a data classification, an access review with at least three corrective actions, a risk register with likelihood, impact and mitigations, evidence of a tested backup and restore, a one-page incident response checklist and a scaling plan that names the first limits the business will reach and what you would do about them.

Criterion Weight What excellent work looks like
Inventory and classification 20% All assets are listed with owner, purpose, data types, criticality and classification; nothing important is missing.
Access and security 30% Access follows least privilege, MFA and credential practices are checked and corrective actions are specific.
Resilience 25% Backups are tested with a real restore, monitoring is defined and the incident checklist is practical.
Scaling plan 25% Limits and costs are quantified from real usage, triggers for action are defined and migration options are realistic.

Portfolio piece

A no-code governance pack: asset inventory, risk register, access review, backup test evidence, incident checklist and scaling plan.

Self-paced, 12-month access. Questions are answered in writing through the student panel. A completion record is issued when you finish the course.
